Aaron and his wife Trish live in Winthrop, Iowa and have three children. Aaron graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in agricultural studies. He is a member of the Buchanan County Pork Producers, served 2 terms on the board including past president. Aaron has served on the IPPA Producer Education Committee, and volunteers at the IPPA Pork Tent at the Iowa State Fair
