Iowa Pork Foundation

The Iowa Pork Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization that is operated to support or benefit Iowa's pork producers. Most of its activity is focused on supporting young people with an interest in the swine industry.

In recent years, more than 30 scholarships totaling over $65,000 have been awarded annually. Scholarships are provided to incoming freshmen; returning college/university students; graduate students; interns; and youth pork ambassadors. No Pork Checkoff dollars are used to fund the Iowa Pork Foundation. Funding is provided through fundraising auctions, activities, or donations. 

The foundation's Board of Trustees are appointed by the IPPA Board of Directors.
