Rob and his wife Jean live in Washington, Iowa and have 6 children. Rob is part of BDKR, Inc, which includes a finisher operation, as well as crop ground. In addition, he is an Iowa Pork Producers Association SIP member.
Rob has received numerous awards throughout his career, including being named the 2009 Iowa Master Farmer, the 2008 Master Pork Producer, and the recipient of the 2017 Wergin Good Farm Neighbor Award, the 2017 IPPA Environmental Steward Award, the ISA Environmental Steward Award, and the ASA Environmental Steward Award.
