This award recognizes county-level programs that demonstrate outstanding promotion, education, or community support in 2024. Each county organization can submit up to 3 activities. The IPPA Promotion Committee will select programs to be recognized and awarded during the Annual Meeting Luncheon on January 21, 2025.

The Hog Wild and Belle Ringer Awards recognize and honor individuals who have gone above and beyond in helping promote and educate about pork and the pork industry. The Hog Wild Award recognizes men in the pork industry, while the Belle Ringer Award recognizes women. 

Many counties recognize deserving individuals locally.  These individuals may have been involved in county pork leadership and/or helped with programs and activities in the county and/or at the state level. This is a great way to show our appreciation for their efforts and support.  Many counties recognize these individuals at their annual county banquets.

State Hog wild & Belle Ringer Awards

The IPPA Promotion Committee will select individuals to recognize at the state level, as State Hog Wild & State Belle Ringer Award winners.

Organized counties can nominate the person(s) from their county for these awards.  In unorganized counties, the local extension director can nominate individuals.

The IPPA Promotion Committee will select the State Hog Wild & State Belle Ringer winners from the county nominations. T will be recognized during the Annual Meeting Luncheon on January 21, 2025.
