Dr. Trey Kellner, a swine nutritionist, Dr. Laura Greiner from Iowa State University, and farmer Gene Gourley dig into the science behind pig nutrition and what it means for animal health, meat quality and the environment.

Farmer Gene Gourley has a master’s degree in animal nutrition, which helps guide the science behind what his pigs eat. On his family farm, they primarily raise corn and soybeans, integral components of their pigs' diet, supplemented with amino acids, vitamins and minerals to ensure optimal growth and performance.
